Strategic Goals of the Biotechnology Department
Short-term Goals (1-3 Year)
STG 1: Development of new laboratories as per curriculum requirements.
STG 2: Establish collaboration with research organizations/industries for short term visit, internships, projects and better placement opportunities.
STG 3: Conduct skill-based training/workshop/seminar/expert lecture/conferences.
STG 4: Align student’s project work with Industry needs and Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
Long-term Goals (> 5 Year)
LTG 1: To develop advanced research laboratories to carry out specialized biotechnology research.
LTG 2: To submit funding proposals to various agencies to strengthen academic and research activities.
LTG 3: Initiate departmental process for starting P.G. and Ph.D. programmes in biotechnology
LTG 4: Collaborate with national institutes and universities for faculty and student exchange programs.
